“Tactical Supremacy Defeats Scorpion Horde”
Interview by
Prelate Tawny Ritten, Panther Clan
Prelate Ritten: “Captain Goron Scaeva, can I ask you a couple of questions about how the war with Pax Corbin ‘The Thorn’ and the Scorpions went?”
Goron Scaeva: (Looks around to find an escape route and finds none) “Um, well, it was more of a battle and not so much of a ‘war’, Prelate Ritten, but I’m sure I have a couple of minutes before I’m needed.”
Prelate Ritten: “Thank you, Goron Scaeva. Since you were the tactical genius behind the army of Therus’ success. Can you tell me what was your inspiration for the plan?”
Goron Scaeva: “Therus was victorious due to our ability to work as a team. That was behind our success today.”
Prelate Ritten: (Hastily scribbles notes) “Agreed, Captain Scaeva, but what inspired you, well, for instance, to have the bees and hornets dropped on the army of the Thorn?”
Goron Scaeva: (An excited Theron and Feron join him.)
Theron: “Father…(he sees the Prelate and nods in her direction) Oh… Captain Scaeva did you get a good view of the Scorpions when they were swinging at the hornets? It looked like the time when Feron brought home a jar of bees. He thought they could make honey in the kitchen, and we would not have to go and smoke hives. Then the jar broke in the house.”
Goron looks at the Prelate and motions to Theron. “Like that.”
Prelate Ritten: “Very unique. Can you tell me what inspired your plan to have the mounted archers shoot and retreat to antagonize the Scorpion army into following them so they could be ambushed?”
Goron Scaeva: “That’s a good question. The combined forces of Therus……”
Feron exclaims enthusiastically, “It was probably the time when Theron and I had the sack of rotten tomatoes and pelted Hector and Elkion from our horses and rode off so they could not catch us.”
Goron Scaeva: (sighs heavily) “Possibly so…..”
Prelate Ritten: Eyes wide as she asks, “What was instrumental to the victory over the horde?”
Theron makes to answer, “Obviously it was…….”
Goron clears his throat and cuts his eyes at Theron. He replies, “The strength of Therus has always been her ability to work effectively together.” He looks into the distance. “I must go, I see my Chieftain needs me.”
Prelate Ritten: “I had hoped we could speak further…..” She stops as Goron is hastily retreating with a hand on each of his sons.
